How to stop a cPanel restore whilst it is in progress

Sometimes you may want to stop a cPanel restore whilst it is in progress. For example, if you have a number of large cPanel backups for the same user and you start to restore the site from the wrong backup, using the abort feature inside the transfer tool will take a considerable amount of time to stop. You can also achieve the same thing by removing the entries in the restore_queue.stor file and restarting the cpsrvd service

Login to your server as the root user and first clear the queue file using the below command

cat /dev/null > /var/cpanel/backups/queue/restore_queue.stor

Finally, restart the service and the restore will have been stopped

/scripts/restartsrv_cpsrvd
