Reinstall the operating system of your First2Host dedicated server
Reinstalling your server is now just a few clicks away with version 3.1 of our control panel. We have worked hard to bring you some great installation media like CentOS and cPanel, or RHEL and Plesk all in one packaged install. Not only that but from your control panel you can disable software raid and even change how your server is partitioned before you deploy your operating system.
The OS options are available from your client account, select “Services” and then the server you would like to reinstall. Once the control panel has loaded navigate to “Administration” then “reinstall”
The control panel will then get a list of available media installs and allow you to choose one for installation. Before you choose your os in the hostname box correct your server’s hostname. To do this just click the pencil icon and enter your hostname. Remember, a hostname must be a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) something like first2host.yourdomain.com.
Next, choose your installation media from the list of available operating systems, there are over 100 different choices here but in the unlikely event your os is not listed just contact us and we can usually make one for you.
At this point, once you have selected your os all that’s left to do is hit “reinstall” and you will receive your server login details via email.
