Provide First2Host Support Your Login Details
It will assist the support team if you provide the login details to your service after you have submitted your ticket to the support team. You should never add a plain text password to your support ticket because this is not encrypted and can be viewed if your account if ever compromised. We will remove any passwords which are placed into tickets.
The correct way to give us access to your server is by clicking the appropriate button. After you submit a ticket you will now notice a button on the ticket confirmation page that asks you to provide login details. Just click this button and fill out the form. Any details placed here are stored encrypted and can only be decrypted by the support team.
What if you already have an active ticket?
You will not notice a button to update and add any details requested at the top of your ticket. You can use this button to access any information already given and update it. If you want to withdraw access to your server you can just click the delete button. This will remove all the credentials given.
Once a ticket has been marked as completed and closed any credentials you have provided are removed from the database. We still always advise that you change your passwords before giving us access to your server or service. We have provided a quick video of the new system below.
